Carp fishing catch report for August
9th - 16 August
Father and son Ross & Ryan from Essex had their first French fishing holiday at Fox Pool. The pair fished days only for a total of 17 fish, 6 x 30's, 7 x 20's & 4 doubles. Both had personal best catches with the biggest going to Ross with a 35lb mirror.
16th - 23rd August
This week saw Rob (on his third visit to Fox Pool!!!) and friend Karl catch 17 carp between them. Catches included 3 x 30's, 10 x 20's & 4 doubles. Robs Biggest this time was a 36.02lb and Karls PB a 31.14lb.
23rd - 30th August
Owner Tony & friends Mark and Andy fished this difficult week. Wives & kids enjoyed the hot weather (27 degrees!!) which meant only 15 fished were landed. Catches included a 39.04lb, a 31.08lb two tone common, & a 23lb half linear. In all 2 x 30's, 7 x 20's & 6 doubles (and a few pasties!!) Big fish were showing all over the lake - many were basking in shallow water - and obviously weren't in the mood for food. But, that's fishing!!
30th August - 6 September
Tim, Sarah & Terry arrived at Fox Pool. 14 fish were landed. A forty pound mirror made Terry's week!! and all 3 anglers achieved their personal bests. In total 1 x 40, 3 x 30's, 7 x 20's & 3 doubles.
